Rishtey.com is a portal dedicated to helping Indians worldwide find their desired marriage partners.
- How does Rishtey.com work?
The concept of Rishtey.com is simple.
- You first register online. An email address is required. If you don't have an email address, you can obtain one very easily from the following: www.yahoo.com, www.hotmail.com, www.cyberinbox.com.
- Then enter your Profile and the Preferred Partner Profile of the ideal partner you are seeking.
- Rishtey.com will automatically find out all the member profiles matching your Preferred Partner Profile and displays the matches on the "Member Home" page.
- You can also search the Rishtey.com database to find the partner whose profile is closest to your criteria.
- What is a Member Profile?
Member Profile contains the personal information of a registered member. You can enter your Member Profile when you register at Rishtey.com.
- What is Preferred Partner Profile?
Preferred Partner Profile contains information on the type of partner you seek. You can enter your partner information when you Register at Rishtey.com or by selecting 'Partner Profile' from the Rishtey.com menu.
- What is Contact Member?
Once you are viewing another Member's Profile and you decide to contact the member, you can click on the "Contact Member" button at the end of the Profile to contact the member. An email will automatically be sent to that member from Rishtey.com letting them know that you are interested in contacting them.
- What is Bookmark Member?
You can bookmark any Rishtey.com member that you have decided to refer in the future by clicking on the "Bookmark Member" button at the end of the profile. At any time you can check the profiles of the bookmarked members by clicking on the "You have # member(s) bookmarked" link from the "Member Home" page.
- How do I contact another Member?
Once you are viewing another Member's Profile and you decide to contact the member, you can click on the "Contact Member" button at the end of the Profile. Rishtey.com will send an initial Contact Email to the member on your behalf, and will not reveal the sender's email address. If the recipient accepts your email offer, Rishtey.com will then exchange your real email addresses allowing you to communicate with each other on your own.
- What if I don't get a reply?
If the member doesn't reply, you can send a "Reminder" after 15 days from the member profile page. You can access the profile by clicking on the "You have Sent Email to # member(s)" link on the "Member Home" page.
- What if I am not interested in the other Member?
After viewing the Member's Profile, if you are not interested in contacting that member, then click on the "No Thank You" button. Rishtey.com will send a polite reject email to that member without revealing your email address.
- What if I click on the Contact Member by mistake?
When clicked on "Contact Member" button a message is not sent immediately, but instead a confirmation is asked if you want to contact that member for sure?
- Will other Member's ever see my contact details & address?
Once you accept the "Contact Member" offer, Rishtey.com will exchange your contact details allowing you to communicate with each other on your own.
- Can I add Photographs?
Yes. You can add photograph to your profile from the "Member Home" page. The photographs are not immediately added to your profile. We will review the photographs and once its approved it will be automatically added to your profile. The file format should be either JPG or GIF with a maximum size of 15KB, and maximum width & height, 125x125 pixels.
- How long does it take to review the photo?
We hope to review the photo and make it available for other members to view it within one week.
- Can I add my son/daughter's profile?
Yes, you can add your son/daughter's profile to Rishtey.com database. But while registering, please enter the name & details of the person seeking the match.
- Do I have to Register to view the database?
Now, only registered members are allowed to view the database.
- Do I have to Register to have my Profile available?
Yes. You have to register and enter your profile.
- How can I delete my Membership?
From the "Member Home" page, click on the "Delete Account" link under "Member Account Options" and follow the steps.
- How do I update my Profile?
At any time, you can update your Profile by clicking on " Edit Personal Profile" from the "Member Home" page or by selecting "Profile" from the Rishtey.com menu.
- How do I update my Preferred Partner Profile?
At any time, you can update your Preferred Partner Profile by clicking on "Edit Preferred Partner Profile" from the "Member Home" page or by selecting "Partner Profile" from the Rishtey.com menu.
- What is meant by '# member(s) Sent Email to you'?
'#' Rishtey.com members are interested in your profile and have sent you email. You can view their profiles and respond by clicking on this link. This link is available on your "Member Home" page.
- What is meant by 'You have Sent Email to # member(s)'?
You have sent emails to '#' Rishtey.com members from the site. You can view their profiles by clicking on this link and if needed, can send a reminder after 15 days.
- When I get a contact member message, how do I view that?
Log-in to the Member's Only section. From the "Member Home" page click on the "# member(s) Sent Email to you" link. A list of all the member's who have sent you email will be displayed. You may click on any of the member usernames to view their profile details.
To accept an offer: After viewing a member's profile, you can select the 'Contact Member' option, if you are interested in communicating with that member. Rishtey.com will exchange email addresses. You can contact the member directly. If anything good turns out please do not forget to inform us. You will be able to exchange email addresses only if you accept the offer.
To reject an offer: If you are not interested in contacting that member, then select the 'No Thank You' option. Rishtey.com will not exchange email addresses. Rishtey.com will send a polite reject email to that member without revealing your email address.
- How do I know I have received a reply from a member I contacted?
You will get an email from Rishtey.com when the member responds to your email. Also from the "Members Contacted" section, you can check the status of the emails that you have sent out to other members. To access "Members Contacted" section, click on the "You have Sent Email to # member(s)" link from "Members Home" page.
- Can I do a general search on all members?
You can do a general search by selecting "Find A Match" from the Rishtey.com menu. "Find A Match" allows you to fine-tune your search criteria without changing your original Preferred Partner Profile. This search uses a temporary Partner Profile. You can modify this temporary Partner Profile and search repeatedly until you feel you have a manageable number of matches.
- How often do you get new members?
Every day, new members register at Rishtey.com.
- How long is the Rishtey.com membership for?
Lifelong or as long as you want it.
- How much do you charge for registering with Rishtey.com?
